Opening Remarks

Hi all!

Gosh...the water sure is warm here! This week have been eventful in the world of Politics. Spector jumped ship into the muddy waters, Obama celebrated his first 100 days with a buzzing of ground zero with a Air Force One look alike, gleaning the ultimate in photo ops (and scare tactics), David Souter is going to retire and the GOP is still playing like the idiot in search of a village. The Democrat party has created a huge vacuum in Washington, and the GOP has yet to take advantage of that great sucking sound, and present some useful and do able solutions. Instead, were pretending to be upset with Benedict Arlen, when he's been heading to the dark side for many a year. It's like the cousin who announces he's gay, and everyone looks at him and says "duh".

Let the hand wringing continue.

When will we get it right? Where is Ronald Reagan when we need him? Anyway we can call Regan Lazarus and get him raised from the dead? Where is our knight in shining armor, who can right the ship, set the sails and tack into the wind? Where is true leadership, and how do we get it?

President Obama is screwing it all up. He's found out pretty quickly that being president is a J-O-B. It's not a series of glamorous cocktail parties, and swishy, swrilley balls to attend. This is not a movie set, but real life. He's got a economy to run. He's got a military to run. He's got a country to run and he's got a veep who can't keep his feet out of his mouth. Walking the new puppy on the WH grounds looks cute in People mag, but we'd like to see some real action and results. Results that won't cost my family more money. Were stretched pretty thin as it is.

Central casting is not going to show up and give Obama a new veep, but we can give him a new congress in 2010. I learned in the Navy that one needs to neuter the enemy first, making the battle much easier. To win back in 12, we need to win in 10.

I guess my question for the GOP now is this: "Whats the Plan?"
